INFORMATION REGARDING ACCOMMODATIONS FOR SPECIAL DIETS
The Dennis restaurants offer many different options for persons with special dietary needs.
The menus particular to each restaurant have dietary notations for each menu item:
G=gluten-free, L=lactose-free, VL=low-lactose
When placing your order you may also enquire if an item without any dietary notation can be prepared to accommodate your dietary needs.
All the pizzas on our menus can be ordered gluten-free.
Our gluten-free pizza crusts do contain a slight amount of wheat starch. Because there is such a small amount of it, the crust can be designated gluten-free, although not naturally gluten-free.
Our gluten-free crusts are prepared in our bakery in Kaarina, in an isolated space where they are also packaged. The pizza crusts end up in the restaurant ovens on the same parchment paper sheet that they were packaged on in the bakery. When they exit the oven in the restaurant, the parchment paper is removed upon placing the pizzas on the plates. Wheat flour is used in the restaurants where the gluten-free pizza is prepared, which means that wheat dust particles may end up on the products of the kitchen.
All our pasta dishes on the menus can be ordered gluten-free. Our gluten-free pasta is naturally gluten-free, so it is suited for even very wheat-sensitive patrons. Our creamy pasta sauces contain solely low-lactose cream.
